Starting fluid. Assuming sufficient compression, Squirt in a bit of starting fluid and see if she'll fire. If so, great! That means that you have sufficient compression and the proper spark. You should get the scooter to run for a second or so on starting fluid. If so there's a good chance you can get it running. One caution here - don't run your engine for very long on starting fluid because it's hard on the engine.

Install a new spark plug (especially if the engine is a two stoke). Clean or replace the air filter as necessary. The carb, air cleaner, and exhaust pipe are all carefully tuned to work together. Most scooters absolutely WILL NOT run correctly if any of these parts are changed in a haphazard manner!

If you work outside, then you need a flat area of concrete. A level space for scooter tuning will mean that when you set down a tool, it won't roll away. You also need to be sure little kids or inquisitive pets don't decide to trot off with your tools when your back is turned. If your friend has such an area, ask if you can work there rather than at home.

Pastor Crashes Motorcycle During Service

A pastor in the USA wanted to show his congregation about unity, and decided to use his motorcycle. He wanted to show them that a motorcycle and its rider could be one.
But he lost control of the bike, and crashed into the front row, braking his wrist.
God moves in mysterious ways...
